U.S. Marine Corps and Toys for Tots Honors the President of Hasbro, Inc. at the Evening Parade
On the evening of June 2nd, at the invitation of the Commandant of the Marine Corps, Mr. John Frascotti, President of Hasbro, Inc., served as the Guest of Honor and the Parade Reviewing Official for the Evening Parade at Marine Barracks, Washington, D.C. The U.S. Marine Corps honored Mr. Fascotti for his leadership and contributions in supporting Toys for Tots, a Marine Corps program. Under John’s leadership, Hasbro provided critical support to the 2016 Toys for Tots campaign allowing Marines and volunteers to reach even more less fortunate children, as Hasbro has done for over 20 years.
The Parade was preceded by a reception hosted by the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation’s Directors. In attendance at the reception were the Foundation’s Board of Directors and their spouses as well as a number of friends and supporters of the Toys for Tots Program and the Marine Corps. Lieutenant General Rex McMillian, Commander of Marine Forces Reserve (responsible for running the Toys for Tots Program), served as the General Officer host for the evening. He welcomed all to the reception and parade, offered remarks about Toys for Tots and introduced the President & CEO of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, Lieutenant General (Ret) Pete Osman. General Osman spoke to the incredible support and long-term commitment Hasbro has offered to Toys for Tots and then introduced Mr. Frascotti. Mr. Frascotti spoke about the great impact that the Marine Toys for Tots Program has on America’s less fortunate children and proud that Hasbro has been a 20-year Toys for Tots partner facilitating support to so many communities throughout the country.
The Parade, located at the oldest post in the Corps, included performances by “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band, the Marine Drum and Bugle Corps as well as the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon. The evening was an inspiration for all in attendance and provided an excellent opportunity for the Marine Corps to honor Mr. Frascotti and highlight Hasbro, one of Toys for Tots’ largest sponsors to the over 4,000 people attending the Evening Parade.
