Virtual Classes Provide Entertainment for Huntington County Kids
Even though clubs have been shut down across the country, the Boys and Girls Club of Huntington County, Indiana, was able to host a virtual class for girls in kindergarten through third grade. Virtual Princess Club meetings are held weekly, and during a recent session, the participants created their own playdough art projects with kits that were donated by Toys for Tots.
Mandy Reber, Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Huntington County, stated that “the girls LOVED these kits and one even said it was the most fun she has ever had.” While parents continue to work from home, they need to focus on the tasks at hand, and their kids need a distraction. These virtual classes provide the girls with a distraction, and they can use their imagination and creativity to create their own masterpieces. It is moments like these that are priceless.
