David B. Armstrong, CFA, is the founder and CEO of Monument Wealth Management, an independently owned Registered Investment Advisor based in Alexandria, Virginia.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, David served for over 20 years across artillery, tank, ANGLICO, and LAR units, including combat operations in Somalia, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2018.
He holds a B.A. in Government & International Relations and an MBA in Finance from the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business. He is the host of Monument’s Off the Wall podcast, which explores wealth strategy, decision-making, and building a life that’s truly option rich, and the creator and host of the Moments in Leadership podcast, where he interviews senior military leaders to share timeless leadership lessons.
David serves on the boards of the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, the Toys for Tots Foundation, and the Virginia Chamber of Commerce. He holds a USCG Merchant Mariner Credential – 100 Ton Inland Master’s License with Towing Endorsement. In his free time, he enjoys boating, golf, and ham radio.
